About me

Hello! I'm Imogen, and I am an illustrator specialising in children's picture books.

I predominantly use gouache, coloured pencils, collaging and digital mediums. Often, I combine digital and traditional practice, taking my pencil line drawings and textures and then adding colour digitally. I love storyboarding and am proficient in thumbnailing, playing around with scale and compositions and telling a captivating story.

Growing up in the Devonshire countryside sparked my love for nature, which is reflected in my work. I also enjoy exploring folklore and whimsical fantasy themes. I am passionate about bringing light moral stories and positive messages to young audiences. A s a neurodivergent person, I want to create inclusive stories that support positive social change.

I hope my work appeals to young people who care about the environment and who care about imagination and creativity, as well as their parents who want to raise kind and caring children. My work fits easily into the kinds of children's picture books that we are seeing at the moment, advocating for kindness and understanding, the importance of our environment and more.
